How It Happened:

  • UVA Wise jumped out to an early 5-2 lead over the Cobras to get the game started. Predrag Panisic assisted Aaron Hall's dunk and followed up on the next drive with a 3-pointer to tie the game at 7. 
  • UVA regained and held the lead over the Cobras for most of the 1st half. However, the Cobras regained the lead with 5 minutes left to play off of an Isayah Owens' two points just outside the paint to give the Cobras a 40-38 lead.
  • Going into the half, the Cobras held the lead 51-50.
  • In the first half, the Cobras were shooting 67% from the field and 60% from the 3-point line. Isayah Owens led the Cobras in scoring with 16 points, closely followed by Aaron Hall, who put up 13 in the first half.
  • Coming out of the half, the Cobras kept the scoring coming, taking a 7-point lead over the visitors with Adonis Thomas hitting two quick 3's from the corners.
  • The visiting Cavaliers came back hot, going on a 21-point run to take a 75-61 lead with 11 minutes left to play.
  • Coker came back with a late push to get back into the game, but it was too little too late with UVA Wise taking the win and a 102-84 win.
