Hartsville, S.C.: The Cobras welcomed Catawba College to the Deloach Center tonight. Coker outscored Catawba 57-40 in the second half to claim its first conference win of the season.

How it Happened:

  • Xavier Moultrie started the game red hot, hitting 2 3's in the opening minutes as the Cobras took an 8-5 lead over the Lions.
  • Mars Hill took the lead with a little over 8 minutes left in the game. However, a Predrag Panisic 3 pointer turn the tide and gave the Cobras the lead. 
  • Coker went on a ten-point run to end the half with Coker leading 41-27.
  • After the halftime break, Mars Hill started off hot, shrinking the Cobra lead down to only 2 points within 4 minutes of play.
  • With 14:23 left on the clock, the Lions took the lead back from the Cobras. That lead was short-lived as Xavier Moultrie stole the ball on the inbound and then hit a quick lay-up. 
  • The Cobras never looked back after that and secured the 75-69 win.

The Cobras will welcome Anderson at the DeLoach Center next Wednesday. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 PM tipoff.
