Kiawah Island, SC- The Coker Cobras Golf Team improved four spots, finishing in 11th place in the Kiawah Island Invitational on Tuesday, in NCAA Division II Golf. Coker dropped 15 strokes from their first round performance and shot 303 (+45) as a team.

Leading the way for Coker was freshman Chris Marsh, who shot a two under par 70, 15 strokes better than his day one 85. Jay Goldenberg also had a tremendous day dropping nine strokes on his game and finishing with a second round 74. Benoit Gordon dropped three strokes and finished with a 79, while Blaine Rogers finished tied for 22nd and shot a second round 80. Andrew Efird finished out the Coker five with a second round 82.


Coker now prepares to travel to Orlando, FL where the Cobras will host the Second Annual Coker College Invitational at Orange County National. The two day event will begin on Monday, September 25, and will bring together 18 of the top 40 NCAA Division II Golf Programs in the nation.
