HARTSVILLE, S.C. – For the second straight outing the Coker men's lacrosse team scored at least 15 goals as the Cobras defeated Chowan 15-8 on Saturday afternoon at the Coker Athletic Field.
Senior attacker Kaleb Hiltz led the way with his first hat trick of the season and seventh of his career, while freshman attacker Jacob Cicco, freshman midfielder Gavin Bourne, and senior midfielders Gage Kettlewell and Elijah Utz each scored a pair of goals.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coker raced out to an early 4-0 lead behind goals from Jacob Cicco, Gage Kettlewell and two scores by Kaleb Hiltz. Chowan answered with the next two goals, but Britt Rumbaugh found the back of the net to give the Cobras a 5-2 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
A pair of goals from Elijah Utz, along with one each by Cicco and Gavin Bourne, extended Coker's lead to 9-4 at halftime.
The Cobras opened the second half with four quick goals, as Cooper Wert, Hiltz, Bourne and Zyaire Marshall all scored within the first five minutes of the third quarter. Coker carried a 13-5 advantage into the final period.
Jackson Duke and Kettlewell each added a goal in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring for the Cobras.
