Connolly Named SAC Defensive Player of the Week
Coker University men’s lacrosse senior long stick midfielder Lennon Connolly was named the South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coker University men's lacrosse senior long stick midfielder Lennon Connolly was named the South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Connolly caused 12 turnovers, collected eight ground balls and scored his second career goal during the week to help Coker to wins over Emmanuel and Chowan. His goal came against Emmanuel on a shot from near midfield. He also had five ground balls and five caused turnovers in that victory over Emmanuel and added seven caused turnvoers against Chowan.
Coker wraps up the three-game homestand when they open South Atlantic Conference play against Emory & Henry on Friday at 2 PM.. The game can be viewed on FloSports.
