Charlotte, NC- With a close 5-4 win over the Queens University Royals, the Cobras finish the week on a high and improve to 3-2 in conference. The match basically came down to who won at No.2 doubles and who could win three singles matches.  The Cobras came out firing taking two of the doubles comfortably as Dustin Yager and Danny Nash won at No.2 doubles 8-2 and Duncan Grew and James Schroeder won at No. 3 doubles 8-0.

With a 2-1 lead going into singles, the Cobras faced tough opponents at the top of the lineup, as all 3 Cobras to first take the court were defeated.  The match would then come down to the players at positions 4, 5, and 6 who had to win all 3 matches to beat the Royals and the Cobras did just that.  At the No.5 spot, Danny Nash came off the quickest winning 6-2, 6-2.  Then Dustin Yager didn’t lose a game, winning at the No.6 spot 6-0, 6-0.  It would then come down to James Schroeder who was last on court at the No.4 spot.  He won the first set 6-3, and helped lead the Cobras to victory winning the second set 6-4.
