DeSoto Joins Men's Volleyball Team

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College head volleyball coach Todd Caughlin announced today that Kenny DeSoto has agreed to play men's volleyball for the Cobras.

"Kenny is a dynamic player that plays well in the back row," said Caughlin. "His speed and ball control will be a great asset to the program."

DeSoto, a 5-foot-4-inch libero and defensive specialist, hails from Last Vegas, Nev., where he played volleyball at Bonanza High School. During his senior year he led his team in digs, was the defensive player of the year and named the Sunset Region Southwest Division MVP. In his junior season, DeSoto was defensive player of the year, a second team Sunset Region Southwest Division selection and a member of the state championship team.

Kenny is the son of Kenny and Monica DeSoto.
