HARTSVILLE, S.C – The Coker men's volleyball team split the opening day of the Coker Invitational on Saturday (Mar. 7) with a 3-0 win over Holy Names and a 3-0 loss to Sacred Heart.
In match one, Coker would dominate, picking up set victories of 25-19, 25-13 and 25-19.
Artur Cabral knocked home 11 kills and four digs to lead the Cobras, while Luke Hansen added 10 kills and five digs. Leshon Alexander added three service aces and six blocks. Jesse Day led the defensive with nine digs and Aleksa Bijelic paced the offense with 30 assists.
Match two would see Coker drop sets with scores of 25-14, 25-23 and 25-23.
Coker will conclude the two-day invitational with matches against Marymount (Va.) and Emmanuel (Ga.) on Sunday (Mar. 8). Match one is scheduled for an 11 a.m. start, while first serve for match two is slated for a 1 p.m.
