Coker Men's Volleyball Jumps to No. 23 in NCAA DI/DII RPI Poll
The Coker men's volleyball team moved up three sports to No. 23 according to the latest NCAA DI/DII RPI Poll.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's volleyball team moved up to No. 23 in the nation according to the latest NCAA DI/DII RPI poll released today.
The Cobras (12-7) continue to be the highest ranked independent school, and are the sixth highest NCAA Division II school.
Junior right side hitter Artur Cabral continues to lead the Cobras with his nation best 0.65 aces per set. Cabral also ranks 30th in the country in points per set, averaging 3.93 points per set.
Freshman Joao Victor Santos is ranked ninth in the nation in aces per set with 0.43 aces per set, and is 20th in the nation in kills with 3.66 kills per set. He is also 14th in the nation in points with 4.42 points per set.
As a team, the Cobras rank No. 1 in aces per set, averaging 2.18 aces per set.
Coker returns to action on Friday (April 1) when they travel to Lees-McRae College. The Cobras defeated LMC, 3-0, back on March 4. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Less-McRae's Williams Gymnasium.
