BENNETT ANNOUNCES 2025 SPRING SOFTBALL SCHEDULE

Hartsville, SC - Third-year coach Brittany Bennett announces the 2025 Coker Softball Schedule this afternoon, with an action-packed slate to keep Cobra fans entertained throughout the season.

The 44-game slate is dead even with 22 home games and 22 away games, playing a combined 22 opponents all in doubleheaders. The season starts with an 8-game away slate, opening against local rival Francis Marion when they travel to Florence on February 1st to take on the preseason DII 14th-ranked team. Including that double-header on the 1st, they will play eight road games in just as many days, traveling to Claflin (February 2nd), Mount Olive (February 5th), and Erskine (February 8th), all for doubleheaders.

They will then match that eight-game slate, this time at Saleeby-Stokes Field here in Hartsville. Continuing their non-conference slate, they will host Fayetteville State (February 11th), Augusta (February 15th), Barton (February 18th), and USC Beaufort (February 23rd). To round out the month of February, they will travel to Converse on the 25th and then play host to Belmont Abbey on the 28th.

March begins the conference slate, traveling for four doubleheaders and hosting three of them. For the road slate, they will take on Tusculum (March 4th), Mars Hill (March 15th), #19 Wingate (March 26th), and Emory & Henry (March 29th). They will play host to LMU (March 12th), Newberry (March 18th), and #4 Lenoir-Rhyne (March 22nd).

The season concludes in April, hosting three teams and traveling to two. UVA-Wise (April 1st), Limestone (April 9th), and Anderson (April 12th) will all travel to Saleeby-Stokes Field, while the Cobras will travel to play both Carson-Newman (April 5th) and Catawba (April 18th). Hopefully, that contest against Catawba will not be the last of the season for the Cobras, as the South Atlantic Conference Post-Season Tournament (April 24-26) awaits the top eight seeds in the conference.
