Knight Named SAC Player of the Week
Knight guided the Cobras to wins over Wingate and Emory & Henry and averaged 19.0 points in the two victories while shooting nearly 80 percent (14 for 18) from floor and was a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line. She also dished out six assists in the two games.
ROCK HILL, S.C. - Kristynn Knight, a senior guard on the Coker women's basketball team, was named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday.
Knight led the Cobras to victories over Wingate and Emory & Henry, averaging 19.0 points per game while shooting a blistering 77.8 percent (14-of-18) from the field. She was also perfect at the free throw line, going 9-for-9, and added six assists across the two wins.
The Cobras, the No. 3 seed in the South Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament, will face Wingate in the opening round at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
