Coker's Demby Named Third Team All-Conference
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's golfer Taylor Demby was named to the Conference Carolinas all-conference third team. She is the first women's golfer to be named all-conference in the program's three-year history.
Demby, a freshman, ended the season with an average of 85.1. Her best individual performance came at the Montreat Invitational, where she fired a school-record 75 in the final round and finished third overall. She also tied for ninth place at the Mount Olive Invitational with a two-day score of 168. Demby was also recently named the conference women's golfer of the month for April.
Demby hails from Chesterfield, S.C. She is the daughter of Gregg and Angela Demby.
The Conference Carolinas all-conference teams were determined by vote from each head coach of participating league institutions. Awards were presented at the league banquet.
Conference Carolinas is a NCAA Division II athletic conference made up of 12 teams from North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. These institutions consist of Barton College, Belmont Abbey College, Coker College, Converse College, Erskine College, King College, Lees-McRae College, Limestone College, Mount Olive College, North Greenville University, Pfeiffer University and Queens University of Charlotte.
