Royals Take Down Cobras, 6-3

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Alyssa Blanchard (Columbia, S.C.), Cora Berna (Spain) and Brittanny Yando (Sumter, S.C.) each earned a win in the Coker women's tennis team's 6-3 loss to Queens University of Charlotte on Sunday. The Conference Carolinas loss drops the Cobras to 5-3 in league play.

Blanchard and Berna each picked up their second consecutive wins in singles play. Blanchard earned a three-set win at No. 1 singles with scores of 6-4, 2-6, 7-5, while Berna won at No. 2 with scores of 6-3, 7-5. Yando's win came at No. 6 singles. She won in three sets, 6-2, 1-6, 10-6.

The Cobras will hit the road for their next match on Wednesday at Barton College at 2 p.m.
