Cobras Drop 5-4 SAC Match to No. 9 Wolves in Regular Season Finale
The Coker women's tennis team fell 5-4 to the regionally ranked No. 9 Wolves of Neweberry College on Saturday (Apr. 11) afternoon.

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's tennis team dropped a tough 5-4 South Atlantic Conference match to the regionally ranked No. 9 Newberry College Wolves on Saturday (Apr. 11) afternoon.
Coker would pick up an 8-4 No. 3 doubles win by Jessi Campos and Suzanna Mickey, but would trail 2-1 after the doubles portion of play.
Mickey would go 2-0 on the day, picking up a 6-2, 2-1 win at No. 6 singles. The Palmer twins would round out Coker's wins with a 6-1, 6-0 win by Bailey Palmer at No. 2 singles and a 6-0, 3-6, 10-4 win by Ragan Palmer at No. 5 singles.
The Cobras finished the regular season with a single-season record 10 wins and a 6-5 SAC conference record. The Navy and Yellow have clinched the No. 6 seed in the SAC Tennis Championship and will play in the quarterfinals on Thursday (Apr. 16).
