Coker Women's Track & Field Competes in Day One of Shamrock Invite
The Coker women's track & field team took part in day one of the Shamrock Invitational on Friday (Mar. 20).
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Coker Cobra women's track & field team took part in the Shamrock Invitational at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Friday (Mar. 20).
Shauntel Smullen had the best finish of the day for the Cobras. She placed sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.35. Lisa Forster also placed 15th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:31.45.
Da'Sha Jobes earned a top ten finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:06.44, while Mercy Muhuhu and Naomi Watson came in at 19:52 and 21:38, respectively, in the 5000-meter run.
Rounding out the Cobras that competed in events on Friday was Tamara McMichael. She tossed a distance of 21.47 meters in the hammer throw.
The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Mar.21) for the final day of competition at the Shamrock Invitational.
