Coker Women Post Strong Sprint Performances at Winthrop Invitational
ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Coker University women's track and field team turned in a solid showing at the Winthrop Invitational, highlighted by strong performances across sprint, hurdle, and relay events.
In the 100 meters, Sydney Watson led the Cobras with a fourth-place finish in 12.33 seconds, while Diamond Bailey added a 12.87.
Coker continued its success in the hurdles, as Patience Lisbon recorded a season-best time of 15.11 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles. Tamara Steward followed with a 15.19, giving the Cobras two strong finishes in the event.
In the 800 meters, Alejandra Alonso posted a time of 2:38.68 to represent Coker in middle-distance competition.
The Cobras also delivered a strong performance in relay action, finishing second in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 48.77 seconds, showcasing the team's depth and speed.
