Gaffney, S.C. – In their second day of the Labor Day Tournament at Limestone College, the Lady Cobras failed to pick up a win in two matches. Coker lost their first match of the day 3-1 to North Greenville and then fell to Newberry College in their afternoon match 3-1 as well.

After the two day tournament the Lady Cobras are now 1-6 overall and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas play.

In the North Greenville match the Lady Cobras lost sets 1, 3, and 4 with scores of 25-13, 25-22 and 25-19, while picking up a win in set 2, 25-15.

Cynallyhia Indriago (Columbia, S.C.) led the attack with nine kills and four digs, while Molly Bookhart (Orangeburg, S.C.) had seven kills, five digs,  five assists and three aces, with Kristin Teets (Columbia, S.C.) knocking down six kills and five blocks. Abby Frame (Sylvania, Ohio) had 21 assists and four digs.

The Newberry match saw much of the same, as Newberry won sets 1,2 and four with scores of 25-9, 25-15 and 25-14 and Coker won the third set, 25-22.

Lisa Ross (Bowling Green, Ky.) was the kill leader with 10 kills, while Teets had seven kills and Indriago had five. Frame dished out 21 assists and Samantha Bryant (North Augusta, S.C.) had five digs for the Lady Cobras.

Coker returns to the court on Tuesday, when they travel to Mount Olive College for a Conference Carolinas match at 7:00 p.m.
