WINGATE, N.C. - The Coker College men's basketball team fell to the Wingate University Bulldogs 68-52 on Wednesday night (Feb. 18) in South Atlantic Conference action.
Coker began the game on 7-1 run in the first four and a half minutes. Shot making and free throw shooting throughout the rest of the first half for Wingate would give them the five point advantage going into the locker rooms after the first 20 minutes, 27-22.
A series of runs down the stretch for the Bulldogs would secure the 16-point victory.
Coker was led by Errick Bethel who had 12 points and six assists.
The Navy and Yellow will be back in action on Saturday (Feb. 21) as they will take on the Anderson Trojans on the road. Tip is set for 4 p.m.
