Cobras and Tornados Clash in Saturday SAC Showdown
The Coker College men's basketball team will take on the visiting Brevard College Tornados in South Atlantic Conference action on Saturday at 4 p.m.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College men's basketball team is back at home on Saturday (Dec. 12) at 4 p.m. to take on the visiting Brevard College Tornados in South Atlantic Conference action. Live stats and video are available at www.cokercobras.com.
The Cobras come into this matchup with a 4-3 overall record and a 3-1 record against Brevard since moving to the South Atlantic Conference.
Jake Barrett and Trey Marshall lead the Navy and Gold offensively, averaging just over 10 points per game. Jalen Watson leads the Coker defense with a team-high seven rebounds per contest, while Trey James is pulling down 6.7 rebounds per game. As a team, the Cobras are allowing just 66.4 points per game, which is a conference-low.
The Tornados come into the contest sporting a 1-6 overall and a 0-2 in conference record after losing to Lenoir-Rhyne last time out. They are led by the scoring duo of Demarcus Threatt and Miles Leathers. Threatt's 21.3 points per game are tops in the conference, while Leathers is fifth in the conference, averaging 19.1 points per game.
Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 12) at Coker College's DeLoach Center. Saturday's game is also Hartsville Chamber of Commerce Day. Tickets are $15 dollars for reserved seats, $5 dollars for adults, $3 dollars for students, and free for all Coker students, faculty and staff.
