Cobras Crack Century Mark in Victory over Converse
The eighth-ranked Coker women’s basketball team poured in 103 points Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 103–52 victory over visiting Converse to close out the 2025 portion of the season inside the DeLoach Center.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The eighth-ranked Coker women's basketball team poured in 103 points Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 103–52 victory over visiting Converse to close out the 2025 portion of the season inside the DeLoach Center.
The 103-point outburst marked the first time the Cobras have reached the century mark under head coach Melissa DeVore and the program's first 100-point performance since a 114–59 win over St. Andrews on Jan. 10, 2012.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
A jumper from Shawnteanna Tillman and a three-pointer from Ja'Kea Brunson opened the scoring for Coker and the Cobras never looked. Coker built the lead to 12-2 before Converse was able to climb to within three at 17-14. Coker led 21-14 at the end of the first quarter.
The Cobras then outscored Converse 34-8 that included a 15-0 run in the second quarter and led 55-22, their largest lead of the opening half.
Coker outscored Converse 24-7 in the third quarter.

Coker will open the new year when they return to South Atlantic Conference play and host UVA Wise inside the DeLoach Center on Saturday, Jan. 3 at 2PM. The game can be viewed on Flo Sports.
