HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College Cobras and Converse College Valkyries ended in a 0-0 tie after two overtimes at the Coker Athletic Field Wednesday (Sept. 6) night.
Senior midfielder Lexi Garcia led the offensive strike for the Cobras with three shots, while Ashley Hogg and Farrah Brown put two more shots on goal. Coker had a total of 12 shots on the night, eight being between the pipes.
On the defensive side of the ball, true freshman goal keeper Samantha Hoffman collected her first clean sheet of the season. The Newnan, Ga. native spent 110 minutes in goal for the Cobras and tied her season-high in goals saved with nine.
Coker will next take on the Shaw University Bears on Saturday (Sept. 9) in a matchup slated for a 4:30 p.m. start at the Coker Athletic Field.
