GREENEVILLE, TN - Coker volleyball lost another heartbreaking five-set match to Tusculum inside the Pioneer Arena on Thursday evening. The Pioneers claimed the South Atlantic Conference match: 25-14, 23-25, 21-25, 25-20, 18-16.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set 1: Tusculum opened the match on fire, scoring the first nine points of the set and never looked back on their way to a 25-14 victory.
Set 2: Coker bounced back with energy, jumping out to an early 6-2 advantage. The Pioneers responded with a 7-1 run to take the lead, but the Cobras countered with three straight points to regain momentum. After two more ties and a pair of lead changes, Coker maintained control down the stretch to even the match.
Set 3: The Cobras carried their momentum into the third set, racing out to a 7-3 lead. Tusculum answered with five straight points to pull ahead 8-7, but Coker responded immediately with six consecutive points to reclaim the lead. The Cobras held firm the rest of the way to take the set and move ahead 2-1.
Set 4: Coker led early, 3-2, before Tusculum used a 4-0 run to seize control. The Cobras chipped away to cut the deficit to one at 13-12, but the Pioneers held on to force a decisive fifth set.
Set 5: The deciding set featured nine ties in a back-and-forth battle, but Tusculum capitalized late, scoring the final two points to clinch the set and the match.

Coker remains on the road to face Anderson on Tuesday at 7 PM. The South Atlantic Conference match will get underway at 7 PM inside Abney Athletic Center and will be broadcast on FloSports.
