MARS HILL, NC - Coker volleyball fell in four sets to Mars Hill on Friday night inside the Stanford Arena. The Lions earned the South Atlantic Conference match 25-19, 25-18, 19-25, 25-21.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set 1: Coker jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held an 11-9 advantage before Mars Hill responded with five straight points to go up 14-12. The Cobras regained the lead at 16-15, but the Lions closed the set strong, scoring 10 of the final 13 points for the win.
Set 2: Coker struck first and led 7-6 early, but Mars Hill answered with a 4-0 run to reclaim the lead — one they would hold the rest of the way.
Set 3: The Cobras started fast with a 4-0 run and extended their advantage to 13-6. Mars Hill pulled within one after scoring six of the next seven points, but Coker maintained composure and secured the set by taking five of the final seven points.
Set 4: Mars Hill opened with a 3-0 lead before Coker rallied to tie the score at 6-6 and again at 8-8. The Cobras took a brief 9-8 edge, but the Lions responded with a 4-0 run to regain control. Coker battled back to a 15-14 lead, yet Mars Hill countered with a decisive 9-1 stretch. The Cobras made a late push with a 4-0 run, but the rally fell short as the Lions closed out the match.
