Bio

2025 (Sophomore): Played in all 28 matches and appeared in 105 sets...Led the Cobras in kills (281), kills per set (2.68) and points (313)...Was third on the team with 53 total blocks with the second most block assists (42)...Recorded double digit kills in 14 matches...Had a career-best 19 kills in the five-set win over Virginia State (Sept. 13)...Was 13th in the South Atlantic Conference in kills per set and 11th in total kills. 

2024 (Freshman): A key feature of the Cobra offense, she recorded eleven double-digit kill games... 236 kills this season with 2.65 kills per set, including a career-high 19 kills against Georgia College on 10/29/24... Recorded 15 digs against Newberry on 10/25/24... Named to the 2024 SAC All-Freshman team... Named the 2024-25 Coker Athletics Female Newcomer of the Year

High School: Graduated from South Aiken High School... All region club 2x, AVCA All-Region (region 3) 23, AVCA phenomenon watchlist 24’, SCHSL All-Region 4a 23’, 2023 SCHLS 4a State Champion.

Bio: Cayla Gilmore, a native of Aiken, South Carolina, is a talented member of the Coker University Women's Volleyball team. As a Psychology major, Cayla brings a unique perspective to the team both on and off the court. Prior to joining the Coker University team, Cayla attended South Aiken High School where she excelled in volleyball. She was recognized for her skills with multiple awards, including being named to the All-Region Club twice, receiving AVCA All-Region honors in Region 3, and being selected for the AVCA Phenomenon Watchlist in 2024. In addition, Cayla was a standout player in the SCHSL, earning All-Region 4A honors in 2023 and helping her team to a State Championship title in the same year. Standing at 5'11" tall, Cayla plays as a Right Side hitter, using her height and athleticism to make an impact on the court. With her impressive background and dedication to the sport, Cayla is sure to be a valuable asset to the Coker University Women's Volleyball team.
